After their 21 run explosion on Tuesday night, the New York Yankees will be equipped with Masahiro Tanaka tonight in Arlington.
What can a team do as an encore after scoring 21 runs the night before? Honestly, nothing. Still, the New York Yankees will try to impress fans further on Wednesday night as they take on the Rangers in Arlington again.
Masahiro Tanaka (7-3, 3.64 ERA) will make it Tanaka Time as he’s pitted against Colby Lewis (10-4, 4.49 ERA).

Tanaka has been brilliant as of late. He’s 3-0 with a 2.72 ERA in his last three starts, going at least seven innings in each.
When asked about his recent performance, the Japanese import had this to say, via AP:
“The past three games, it’s been gradually getting better,” he said through an interpreter.
Whether or not Brian Cashman makes a major move remains to be seen. Sitting in first place with a comfy seven game lead over the second place Baltimore Orioles makes it easier to sleep at night.
