New York Yankees

Michael Pineda will head to the mound tonight in Minnesota as the first-place New York Yankees will take on the Twins.

Believe it or not the New York Yankees are now 12-games over .500 (53-41).

Tonight in Minnesota, Michael Pineda (9-6, 3.77 ERA) – or the man affectionately known as Big Mike in the clubhouse – will head to the mound in search of his 10th win during the 2015 MLB campaign.

Winners of eight of their last 10, Joe Girardi’s club looks to keep the momentum surging as well as growing their five and a half game lead over the Toronto Blue Jays in the AL East.

They’ll be opposing a former friend in Phil Hughes (8-6, 4.15 ERA).

First pitch will be a little after 8 pm ET from Target Field.
