The Bronx is buzzing with the latest New York Yankees news and we’ve got it covered for you in this edition of the Bomber Buzz.

Up in the major leagues, the New York Yankees are taking care of business. In the minor leagues, their teams are loaded with talented prospects lying in wait.

Ernesto Frieri is not a prospect. In fact, he is a veteran journeyman who the Yankees signed to a minor league deal. Yesterday, he chose to opt out of that deal and leave the Yankees.

Despite mixed reports, it was confirmed by Jon Heyman that Frieri indeed chose to opt out and should pursue other options…possibly with another New York team?

The reliever was signed mainly for veteran back-up in case a reliever went down. With the Yankees having arguably one of the best bullpens in the league, Frieri likely wouldn’t have gotten a shot to return to the major leagues.

We saw some great things from Frieri but his time to fly has come. Best of luck to the reliever in the future!

From yesterday’s game, you might have missed the most important thing to happen.

We all know Aaron Judge hit another home run. That never gets old. However, what you might have missed was a fan going absolutely berserk after not getting the ball.

Pics or it didn’t happen, you say? We’ll do you one better; there is video.

No one really knows why exactly he is so darn upset but he certainly made a scene. Guess we can’t expect anything else in Toronto.

Let’s end today’s buzz with a fun fact you can share with your friend regarding one of our Scranton Shuttle pitchers.

Chasen Shreve? The guy who couldn’t seem to get anyone out last year? Yup, he’s killing the game in the bullpen.

It’s amazing what one year can do to a pitcher, especially in Shreve’s case.

Stay tuned for tomorrow’s edition of the Bomber Buzz where there are sure to be plenty more highlights of our favorite squad.
