A New York Yankee fan behind home plate in Game 3 of the series decided to mercilessly mock Craig Kimbrel during the ninth inning of the Bombers only loss of the series.

What is Craig Kimbrel doing on the mound?

Since we put our eyes on the burgeoning Atlanta Braves prospect way back in 2010, we’ve wondered why he places his right arm in that 90-degree uncomfortable position. He’s been mocked and laughed at yet continues to showcase that upside down left-hand turn stance with his Boston Red Sox.

On Thursday night in the Bronx, it was the New York Yankees fans turn to mock the Sox closer.

In the ninth inning of a one-run ballgame, Kimbrel was called upon for the three-out save. A certain individual behind home plate took center stage:

The Yanks wound up falling in this particular content by the final of 5-4 but wind up taking the series two games to three. And yes, Kimbrel, despite his save on this night, remains one of Boston’s freshest goats after allowing Brett Gardner’s two-run triple and Aaron Judge’s two-run home run on Wednesday night.

After Kimbrel mocking and two Yankee wins, the two teams are now in a dead-tie at 26-11 for the AL East lead and baseball’s best record. Through six games, each side has claimed three victories.

Don’t worry about the Sox closer escaping New York clean and free. There are plenty of home dates against the Sox upcoming during this potentially great Summer of 2018 for the New York Yankees.
