According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the New York Knicks and Houston Rockets are re-engaged in trade talks for Carmelo Anthony.

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he New York Knicks and Houston Rockets were at a stand still for weeks over Carmelo Anthony. That’s no longer the case.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the two teams have “re-engaged” on trade talks involving the ten-time All-Star.

Woj reports that the same obstacles remain. Houston needs someone to take on Ryan Anderson’s large contract. Nobody wants to owe $60 million for the next three years right now to a one-dimensional player.

Per Woj, new general manager Scott Perry “has been far more particular” than Phil Jackson about the return necessary to get the superstar scorer.

Other teams have shown an interest in Anthony, but he still hasn’t been willing to give a longer list of teams he’d be willing to go to. He wants to join up with Chris Paul and James Harden in Houston.

Anthony remains a Knick as of now, but it seems like it’s only a matter of time before he’s dealt. He has the Knicks over a barrel. Houston is the only way out for both sides.
