In an attempt at boosting his current market value, Rose is expected to sign a one-year contract with the 2016 champions.
The franchise’s relationship with point guard Kyrie Irving has taken a toll in recent weeks after he requested a trade.
It’s still unclear if this move has anything to do with Irving, but Rose could very well end up starting in Cleveland.
