The Atlanta Hawks and Charlotte Hornets have decided to trade for Tweets and Instagram post rather than actual players.
With the NBA offseason now in full swing and the draft coming up, teams are trying to improve themselves. They are trying to figure out what trades/moves they should make that will make their team better.
On Tuesday the Atlanta Hawks answered fans comments on who they should trade for on Twitter. “According to our mentions, we should trade for everybody,” the Hawks tweeted. The Brooklyn Nets and the Orlando Magic sent sympathy messages to the Hawks.

The Charlotte Hornets replied by saying that the same thing has been happening to them. The Hawks replied by offering to trade today’s tweet for tomorrow’s tweet and an unprotected future tweet.
The Los Angeles Clippers then joined the negotiations by using ESPN’s NBA Trade Machine. The Hornets responded by saying throwing in a snap with a puppy filter and they’ll talk.

Add a future second round Instagram post and we have a deal ?
— Charlotte Hornets (@hornets) June 20, 2017
Some fans even joined the conversation to say what moves they think the Hawks should make in the offseason. Eventually, a deal was made, which included a future second round Instagram post.
Trade for me then. I'm a free agent AND I don't need a multi-million dollar contract.

THE OTHER TEAMS CANT WIN IF YOU HAVE ALL OF THE PLAYERS

This team the way it is constructed now isn't going anywhere. We need to make big changes. Get younger

It's because we need to. Howard and Bazemore have got to go.

You drive a hard bargain, Hornets. You're lucky the trade machine still accepts. Deal! pic.twitter.com/7Jl7unR0oI

Can't wait to see how the writers grade this trade tomorrow ?
— Atlanta Hawks (@ATLHawks) June 20, 2017
The biggest question that comes out of this deal is what do you do with tomorrow’s tweet, an unprotected future tweet, and a future second round Instagram post?
