We trust Julius Randle to get it done on Thursday night. The All-Star is making a statement this year as the team’s engine and primary option offensively. Randle looked out of whack in Tuesday’s loss to the San Antonio Spurs, but that’s why we expect him to bounce back in a big way against the Pistons.
It’s also worth noting that Randle put up 25 points in New York’s win over Detroit earlier this year. The Pistons are stout inside, but Randle has opened up his offensive game in a big way this year. He can score at all three levels and he’s simply taking what the defense gives him.

RJ Barrett First Basket + Knicks Win (+900)
This bet is like something Adam Sandler’s character would do in “Uncut Gems.” Betting on the first basket is a crapshoot, but it’s undoubtedly one of the most fun bets to make. Although the Knicks have Randle and Derrick Rose who are primary creators, Barrett has shown a willingness to be aggressive early in games.
If the Knicks can win the tip look for them to run an action where Barrett gets a screen at the top of the key. He’s been having success going to his left off of high screens.
Barrett is getting +650 odds to score the first basket, but we like bumping that number up to +900 by taking first basket plus a Knicks win.

Julius Randle Over 1.5 Steals + Blocks (+150)
Put some respect on Julius Randle’s name for his defense this year. Although Tuesday was one of his worst defensive performances of the year, we love these odds on Randle to record at least two steals + blocks. Detroit is in the bottom third of the NBA in turnovers and that should present Randle with a few opportunities.
In addition to Detroit’s turnover woes, the fact that Randle is playing some center will help him go over on this player prop as well. With Mitchell Robinson nursing a hand fracture and Taj Gibson doubtful for Thursday, Randle could tally a block or two as the main rim protector on the second unit.
