The Knicks have had an up-and-down season so far, but they have an opportunity to right the ship against a shorthanded Wizards squad on Friday night. With no Bradley Beal due to rest, the Knicks have a chance to beat up on an inferior opponent.

Here is the current line on Knicks vs. Wizards at DraftKings Sportsbook:

New York Knicks -2.5 (-112) // -137 // O 219 (-109)
Washington Wizards +2.5 (-109) // +116 // U 219 (-112)

Online sports betting is still working its way through New York’s slow political machine, but New Yorkers who live near the border can grab these player props by popping into New Jersey or Pennsylvania.

Julius Randle Over 5.5 Assists (+115)

We love Julius Randle props here and we’re going with the over on his assists at PointsBet Sportsbook. Anytime you can get this kind of price on Randle’s over on assists, take it — especially when he’s going up against a defense as bad as Washington’s. Randle is likely to be matched up with Rui Hachimuri, one of the worst defenders in the NBA. He’s going to be able to get whatever he wants against Hachimuri.

The Wizards are 29th in the NBA with a 116.0 defensive rating and they are going to be without their best player on Friday night. Bradley Beal is not an elite defender, but they will still miss him on the defensive side of the ball.

RJ Barrett, Mitchell Robinson & Deni Avdija All Scoring 10+ Points

RJ Barrett is the safest bet on this FanDuel Sportsbook Same Game Parlay. The second-year wing out of Duke has scored in double figures in seven of his last eight games and 22 of 26 games this year.

But Mitchell Robinson and Deni Avdija are a different story. Robinson doesn’t have much of an offensive package to generate points outside of lobs and putbacks. The third-year center last scored in double figures on Jan. 22 against the Sacramento Kings. But we expect the Knicks to put up a ton of points on this porous Washington defense. Expect Robinson to be in the mix and go for double digits.

When it comes to Avdija, he should have a bigger role in the offense without Bradley Beal on the floor. Avdija has only scored 10 or more points in four games this year, but in each of those games he hit at least two three-pointers. Although Knicks opponents have not shot well from deep this year, they prioritize packing the paint over running shooters off the three-point line.

A $10 bet on this Same Game Parlay would pay out $50.98.

Elfrid Payton Under 11.5 Points (-110)

Elfrid Payton is one of the hottest Knicks right now, but he’s going to cool down at some point. Despite the fact that he’s gone over 11.5 points in three of his last four games, he’s not a lock to play big minutes anymore.

With the recent acquisition of Derrick Rose and the emergence of rookie Immanuel Quickley, Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau has options in the backcourt. If Payton isn’t feeling it early, he might not play enough to go over on this number.
