The Knicks State of Mind podcast reconvenes to discuss the disaster in Milwaukee and what the New York Knicks can do moving forward.

It wasn’t pretty in Cream City on Monday. Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks gave the New York Knicks a good old fashioned beatdown. The 44-point loss was yet another low point in the season for Knicks fans.

The guys discuss the loss itself, but the real questions surround head coach David Fizdale and centerpiece Julius Randle. With the team’s record at 2-9 since the impromptu press conference from Steve Mills and Scott Perry, there has been little overall progress.

Randle was signed to be “the guy” for the Knicks, but he’s still struggling to find his rhythm this year. Prior to the season, Fizdale and the Knicks talked about using Randle as a point forward, but that plan hasn’t worked out just yet.

Is that an issue with Randle or should the blame fall on the coaching staff for trying to make the forward something he’s not? There are plenty of questions and the Knicks are still searching for answers.

However, with all the drama and intrigue surrounding the hapless Knicks, it’s easy to forget about one of the best stories in the NBA—Carmelo Anthony. The former Knicks great is reinvigorating the Portland Trail Blazers this season. His Western Conference Player of the Week award rattled plenty of people on social media, but it’s hard to take away from what he’s doing right now.

At least Knicks fans have Melo and the Blazers to pull for during this rough patch in New York.
