New York Knicks small forward Marcus Morris tells it like it is after Sunday night’s blowout loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

It’s safe to say the New York Knicks are already in trouble through 10 games. At 2-8, they’re sitting in last place in the Eastern Conference. They’re tied with the Golden State Warriors for the worst record in the entire NBA.

The Knicks’ most recent defeat came at the hands of the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday night. Having suffered a 108-87 blowout loss, it was clear guys were frustrated in the locker room afterward. Included in the list of individuals was Marcus Morris, who provided himself and his teammates with a stern ultimatum.

“At the end of the day, f–k the x’s and o’s,” Morris said in support of his head coach David Fizdale, who’s taken some heat for the slow start. “We [players] have to come out and we have to be better. That’s just what it is…we know what we need to do, we know we need to be better.”

With that quote, Morris made it known that it’s the players’ fault and not Fizdale’s fault for why the team is struggling so much. The veteran, who signed with the Knicks this past offseason, is aware that they need to step up and do so in a timely manner.

Morris dropped nine points, snatched six rebounds, and dished out one assist through 32 minutes in the loss. He did this on 25% shooting from the field. Morris was also 0-for-5 from behind the arc.

The Knicks will travel to Chicago to take on the 3-7 Bulls on Tuesday night at 8:00 p.m. ET.
