Joel Embiid and Karl-Anthony Towns are two of the most talented big men in the NBA, but on Wednesday, they showed off their boxing skills.

Joel Embiid is an elite trash talker in the NBA and sometimes that doesn’t sit well with other players. On Wednesday night, Karl-Anthony Towns had enough of Embiid and the two centers decided to settle their differences with their fists.

The Philadelphia 76ers were taking it to the Minnesota Timberwolves at the time of the fight. Obviously, Embiid and Towns were both ejected from the game.

The Philly center made sure to have a little fun with the fans before heading for the locker room.

Philly continued the rout after the ejections and all five Sixers starters finished the game with double-digit scoring. Embiid and company move to 4-0 on the season and are one of two undefeated teams left in the NBA along with the San Antonio Spurs (3-0).

“Well, first of all, I ain’t no b—-,” Embiid told reporters after the game. “Nah, there was not a lot of talking. It kind of happened out of nowhere and I just did what I had to do. I was just trying to control myself and it happens.”

Embiid would also go on to say that Towns didn’t “connect” on any of his punches. Of course, the NBA will take a long look at this altercation to figure out possible disciplinary action for both players involved.

Minnesota and Philly won’t meet again until March 24 so this tiff between Embiid and Towns will have ample time to cool off before they have another chance to throw hands.
