The New York Giants added three players to their roster after rookie minicamp this past weekend.

After their great showings at the minicamp at the Quest Diagnostics Training Center, punter Ryan Anderson, defensive back Tenny Adewusi and defensive end Alex Jenkins were all signed. All will have a chance to make the final roster once the regular season begins, with Anderson competing with current Giants punter Riley Dixon.

Anderson previously played at Rutgers University. He won the Eddleman-Fields Punter of the Year award in 2017. He was also named to the All-Big Ten First Team that same season. Anderson is the Rutgers all-time single-season punting leader with 44.4 yards per punt in 2017.

Adewusi played his college ball for the University of Delaware Blue Hens, lining up alongside Chargers rookie safety Nasir Adderley. Adewusi totaled 38 combined tackles, one forced fumble and seven pass-breakups for the Blue Hens in 2018. He’ll add to the Giants’ depth at defensive back and will be competing against rookie defensive backs Julian Love and DeAndre Baker along with cornerback Sam Beal.

Jenkins has had a few stints on the New Orleans Saints practice squad, having been signed and cut numerous time from 2017-early 2019. Before that, he was a member of the team at the University of Incarnate Word.

In his final year for Incarnate Word, Jenkins racked up a combined 35 tackles, 3.5 sacks, and one forced fumble. He’ll be working on the defensive line for Big Blue with guys such as Dalvin Tomlinson, and B.J. Hill. Jenkins will be looking to improve a Giants pass-rush that tied for 31st in the NFL last year with 30 sacks.

The next step for these guys will be to impress coaches at the Giants’ Organized Training Activities. OTAs begin May 21 and last until May 29.
