With the 95th pick in the NFL draft, the New York Giants select edge rusher Oshane Ximines.
It took longer than expected but the New York Giants finally selected an edge rusher in Oshane Ximines from Old Dominion with the 95th pick in the 2019 NFL draft. Ximines becomes the first player from Old Dominion drafted in the NFL.
The 6-foot-4, 255-pound Ximines played with the Monarchs from 2014-2018 when he registered 176 tackles, 51 tackles for losses, and 32.5 sacks.
His most productive season came in his senior year when he put forth career-high in tackles (58), tackles for losses (18), and sacks (11.5) and had the only interception of his collegiate career.
Pro Football Focus gave him an overall grade of 90.2. He has the ideal size that you want in a 3-4 linebacker and the Giants hope he can help resurrect their pass rush that tallied just 30 sacks a season ago.

He’ll definitely see significant playing time as a rookie. Expect him to compete with Lorenzo Carter and Markus Golden for one of the starting outside linebacker positions.
