Dennis Smith Jr.’s hot start has New York Knicks fans excited. He and DeAndre Jordan connected for a ridiculous alley-oop on Saturday.
He’s only been with the New York Knicks for a hot second, but Dennis Smith Jr. is giving Madison Square Garden something to cheer about.
On Saturday, he started a play that culminated with DeAndre Jordan throwing down the hammer on Serge Ibaka—who wisely backed off.

The chemistry between Smith and Jordan is carrying over from there time together on the Dallas Mavericks. Smith is off to an excellent start in his young career and he’s finally giving Knicks fans something to cheer about.
The Knicks hot start against the Toronto Raptors was fueled by Smith’s facilitation. He finished the first quarter with four assists. and helped the Knicks jump out to the early lead.
Head coach David Fizdale loves point guards that can penetrate into the teeth of the defense and find his teammates. He has to love what he’s seeing from Smith so far. The Knicks have been looking for a point guard for the last 15 years. Smith may not be the guy but he is off to one heck of a start.
