New York Knicks guard Frank Ntilikina is drawing interest around the league with interest coming from the Orlando Magic specifically.

Frank Ntilikina is scuffling right now. He has failed to score a single point in the New York Knicks last two game, but teams around the league are still intrigued by the 20-year-old Frenchman.

According to Mike Vorkunov of The Athletic, the Orlando Magic have shown interest in the project point guard. It may come as a shock to some Knicks fans, but Ntilikina still has tons of potential. He has yet to develop into a consistent threat on offense, but he’s already an elite defender.

He may never develop into an excellent offensive player, but he could bottom out as a Tony Allen-type who regularly finds himself on All-Defensive teams. Whether or not you love Ntilikina or hate him, there’s no denying that he still has the potential to develop into a stud.

It would be surprising to see the Knicks sell low on Ntilikina. He is going through one of the roughest patches of his young career and this could be affecting his trade value. Furthermore, the Knicks should be in no rush to trade away any of their young players. The playoffs are out of the picture for David Fizdale’s squad, despite what Trey Burke may think.

This year is all about development. There’s no need to blow overreact to a 20-year-old experiencing the growing pains of the NBA.
