Zion Williamson is a freak of nature and his latest on-court exploit is further proof that he’s one of the most unique prospects around.

Zion Williamson is an absolute beast and he’s going to continue to make unreal plays. The freshman at Duke is one of the most highly touted prospects of his class and he’s projected to be a top-10 pick in the 2019 draft.

As Duke prepares for the regular season, they took on Division II Virginia Union University and Williamson showed exactly why he’s attracting so much attention. I mean, look at how much force he puts into this block. It flies off of the backboard and you can literally hear Zion get his paw on it.

Zion isn’t your average freshman. He’s not coming into his freshman season looking to make a name for himself. He’s probably the most recognizable star in college basketball already and his 1.8 million Instagram followers are proof of the 18-year-old’s unbelievable popularity.

The play above is a perfect encapsulation for why Williamson’s popularity has skyrocketed. He’s a high-flying scorer and his highlight-reel dunks and blocks have helped him establish a presence on social media.

We know he’s an athletic specimen unlike anyone we’ve ever seen, but scouts and teams will keep an eye on his all-around game at Duke. How he does the little things could go a long way towards where he falls in the draft.

He’s currently slated to go second overall on Tankathon’s mock draft, which could mean that Zion will be on the New York Knicks radar next summer. But it’s still far too early to really know how everything will shake out. We do know that we’ll get a year of mind-numbing dunks, blocks, and freakish feats of athleticism from Zion at Duke.
