Minnesota Vikings WR Adam Thielen wore a special pair of custom cleats during his game on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals.

The Mighty Ducks, the popular Disney movie from the 1980’s, made a surprise appearance during the NFL game.

Thielen, a native of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, wore the cleats as a tribute to the Mighty Ducks. The Minnesota Vikings Twitter account posted the picture of the cleats prior to Sunday’s game.

The logo on the outside of the right cleat was created from the hockey sweater in the movie. On the inside of the right cleat were Thielen’s last name and No. 19 while the left cleat had the word “DUCKS” written on one side with the Adidas logo on the other.

The cleats were created by Mache Custom Kicks exclusively for Thielen. The company posted some more photos on their twitter account which included a photoshop of the receivers head where coach Gordon Bombay’s head was in the photo from the Mighty Ducks movie. Bombay was played by actor Emilio Estevez in the Duck movies.

Thielen will probably break out the cleats again based on his performance that he had in the Mighty Ducks cleats. The wideout led the team with 11 catches for 123 yards and a touchdown In the Vikings 27-17 win over the Cardinals, their first win this season.

Quack, Quack, Quack, Ducks fly together and in this instance, it helps to have a 6-foot-2, 200-pound wide receiver flying around the football field while he represented the iconic sports movie.

Thielen will try to keep up his great play as his 1-5 Vikings visit the New York Jets next Sunday at MetLife Stadium.
