New York Knicks bigs Kristaps Porzingis and Enes Kanter help Jaheem slam one home as part of The Garden of Dreams Foundation.
No longer can “The Dunk” be attributed to just one person. No longer is John Starks the only individual whose name is so closely tied to a breathtaking dunk at Madison Square Garden.
Jaheem has arrived.
The young New York Knicks fan was involved in a terrible car accident and after his third surgery, the organization met him.
Doctors call him a miracle. Following his release from the hospital after a tragic incident involving six months of surgeries, five-year-old Jaheem was greeted by a few surprise guests ? As part of our Season of Giving with Garden of Dreams and Papa John’s NY Tri State, we’re honored to share this moment with Jaheem. #passthepizza

On Saturday, the comeback kid’s persistence led to David Fizdale calling his number for the game-winning dunk at Madison Square Garden.
Enes Kanter set the critical pick while Kristaps Porzingis picked up the assist.

Now that’s sports. That is, as the Knicks organization so appropriately hashtagged, “Why we play.”
Jaheem, like the rest of us, is impatiently waiting the 2018-19 NBA season to get going. He’ll have a little while longer for his favorite player, KP, to return, but with a fresh face on the sideline leading the charge coupled with a hungry squad, Jaheem will have plenty to look forward to.
The New York Knicks first preseason game will come this Monday when they take on the Wizards in Washington D.C.
