Tiger Woods made his greatest comeback statement to date by nearly stealing the 2018 PGA Championship on Sunday.
Tiger Woods had us all captured for a great part of the Sunday gold experience. Perhaps in the most overshadowed major victory in recent time—Brooks Koepka did win—Woods finished second by shooting a ridiculous final-round -64.
At 264, Brooks Koepka set the lowest 72-hole score in a PGA Championship, eclipsing David Toms's 265 carded in 2001. pic.twitter.com/wJKzxCwqnj

His front-nine 42 got him to within one stroke of the lead, but that bid for a 15th major victory fell short.
Still, the love the man still garners from the golfing public is beyond anything imaginable.

He finished -14 for the tournament.
Tiger Woods: 266, lowest total score of his major championship career. 64 is his lowest ever final round score in a major.

It was vintage Sunday afternoon Tiger charge that probably would have succeeded if another few holes were tacked on to the final round of 18.

Now that Tiger’s putting a nice string together—a great PGA Championship after a glimmer of hope at the Open Championship—the PGA Tour can officially become excited.
Tiger Woods appears to be back.
