On Tuesday in New York City, DAZN, the world’s largest dedicated live and on-demand sports streaming services, announced a star-studded lineup of boxing and MMA events for the fall.

Tuesday marked a historic day in the world of boxing and MMA as DAZN, the world’s largest dedicated live and on-demand sports streaming service, announced a star-studded lineup for Matchroom boxing events and Bellator fight cards for the fall.

Matchroom Boxing promoter and group managing director Eddie Hearn and Bellator president Scott Coker were in attendance along with some of the best fighters in boxing and MMA.

Some of the boxers that were in attendance were WBO, IBF and WBA heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, heavyweight contender and former WBA heavyweight champion Alexander Povetkin, heavyweight contender Jerrell “Big Baby” Miller, middleweight contender Demetrius Andrade, and former two-division champion Jesse Vargas.

The MMA fighters in attendance were Michael “Venom” Page, Douglas Lima, and Dillion Danis.

Also in attendance was International Boxing Hall of Fame ring announcer Michael Buffer, who signed a multi-year deal with Matchroom Boxing/DAZN team to be their permanent ring announcer for all of their fight cards.

The highlight of the events that were announced for the fall was Anthony Joshua defending his titles on September 22nd in London against Povetkin.

Joshua and Povetkin had a faceoff so the media could take pictures of the two to promote their fight. But shortly thereafter, Joshua got into a heated verbal exchange with Miller who has been trying to get a fight with Joshua for the past several months.

Miller may get a chance to fight Joshua in early 2019 if Joshua gets past Povetkin.

Below is a list of other fight card set for the fall:

  • 29 – Bellator: Gegard Mousasi vs. Rory MacDonald
  • 6 – Boxing card featuring Jessie Vargas and Demetrius Andrade
  • 12 – Bellator: Matt Mitrione vs. Ryan Bader***
