The New York Knicks and Jose Cuervo have joined forces to create a really cool, exclusive piece of history.
Jose Cuervo and the New York Knicks have partnered together to create a truly special product. If you’re a fan of the Knicks and a drinker of Jose Cuervo, you’ll love “The Reserva de la Familia Hardwood Edition,“
The historic box is made out of the original Madison Square Garden court. It’s the floor where John Starks jammed all over Michael Jordan for “The Dunk.” Where Larry Johnson drew a foul for a four-point play. Where Bernard King went off for 60 points. Where Willis Reed went from icon to legend.
The box, made from the floor of the Mecca of Basketball is quite the collector’s item, as there are only 100 made. It can be found in select die-hard Knicks fan bars around Manhattan and inside Madison Square Garden.
Jose Cuervo invited members of media and some special guests to celebrate the launch at the “The Pool,” one of the more scenic spots in Manhattan, located on East 52nd Street at the location of the old Four Seasons.
Knicks legends, including King, Starks and Allan Houston were on hand, as was director Spike Lee, perhaps the most famous Knicks fan of them all. Lee, who is no stranger to drawing attention, was decked out in a plaid orange-and-blue shirt with an orange beret.
The event was an experience that all Knicks fans would appreciate. Being at a bar hanging out with Knicks legends and listening to them tell all of the stories from their perspective is nothing short of surreal.
Unfortunately for fans of the Knicks and Jose Cuervo, you’ll have to swing by one of the select establishments lucky enough to have this exclusive product to see it for yourself. While you can purchase a bottle of “Reserva de la Familia,” the special “Hardwood Edition” is not for sale.
