Multiple sources are reporting that the Pistons have made a trade offer for rumored Knicks target the disgruntled Eric Bledsoe.

The Phoenix Suns made an unorthodox move went they told their star point guard Eric Bledsoe to go home and stay away from the team. Whenever a point guard becomes available, the New York Knicks are mentioned in connection and Bledsoe is no different.

New York has been linked to Bledsoe since the summer with their interest rumored to have piqued again regarding these latest rumors. But it looks like the Knicks will have some stiff competition from the Detroit Pistons.

According to Michael Scotto of Basketball Insiders, the Pistons offered the Suns a first-round draft pick along with point guard Reggie Jackson. Despite Jackson’s struggles last season, this may be a better package than anything New York is willing to offer.

Phoenix was reportedly looking for Willy Hernangomez and Frank Ntilikina in any deal with New York. The franchise rightfully wasn’t interested. It looks like Bledsoe could be on the move somewhere else.

The Bledsoe trade is a difficult one to evaluate. On the one hand, you don’t want to mortgage your future but on the other hand, Bledsoe’s just 27.
