The New York Knicks will be without point guard Frank Ntilikina in their Sunday preseason game vs. the Brooklyn Nets.

Frank Ntilikina starred in the New York Knicks preseason opener vs. the Brooklyn Nets. The Knicks lost and the rookie struggled with his shot, but it wasn’t about that. Frank was the highlight of the night for his passing and defense.

Unfortunately, the 19-year-old wasn’t able to play in New York’s second preseason game vs. Washington (another loss) due to a knee injury. This same injury will keep him out of Sunday’s rematch in Brooklyn.

According to Howie Kussoy of The New York Post, the point guard will miss Sunday’s game with the same injury. It happened in the opener when Frank knocked into new teammate Enes Kanter.

Ntilikina doesn’t sound too concerned about it.

“It’s going to be all right,” Ntilikina said. “I’m feeling better, better than [Friday]. I did a lot of treatment on my knee. … This is a very long season, 82 games, so doing stupid things, trying to play even if my knee is not all right is not smart. So, it would be best for me be to be healthy and to be ready for the whole season.”

Sunday’s game tips off at 7:30 pm ET on the MSG Network.
