The Knicks signed Ramon Sessions to mentor Frank Ntilikina, and he started by comparing the kid to one of the NBA’s best point guards.

The New York Knicks signed Ramon Sessions to a one-year contract in part to be the veteran mentor for 19-year-old rookie Frank Ntilikina.

Sessions started the process Wednesday at training camp when he provided Frank with some motivation.

The 31-year-old told Marc Berman of The New York Post that his new teammate reminded him of a former teammate of his: Kyrie Irving.

“He’s got a lot of Kyrie tendencies. Not the most athletic guy but can handle the ball in tight spots. It’s still early on, but he definitely gives me that Kyrie feel when Kyrie was a rookie.”

Sessions played with Irving during his rookie season 2011-12. He was the same age as Frank, 19. The Frenchman was thrilled with the praise from his new teammate.

“Kyrie is Kyrie,’’ Ntilikina told The Post. “That’s something. He’s an All-Star, has done crazy things. Hearing that is a blessing. Ramon is here for me. Giving me a lot of advice. I’m learning a lot from him.”
