Buffalo Sabres stud Ryan O’Reilly drops by the Schwartz on Sports Podcast to discuss the upcoming Winter Classic against the New York Rangers.

Ah yes, it’s the Winter Classic. What’s better than the great game of ice hockey being played in the elements of the natural outdoors?

In terms of hockey purists, nothing.

In the Metro area, we’ve experienced the Winter Classic once prior when the New York Rangers went into Philadelphia and knocked off the home team Flyers. In 2018, for the first time ever, the Winter Classic comes to New York City.

What’s strange is the Rangers will actually be the away squad to the Buffalo Sabres when the game is being played at Citi Field, but that’s not enough to discourage our enthusiasm. Somebody else who’s excited is Sabres stud and alternate captain Ryan O’Reilly.

Reilly, 26, collected 20 goals and 35 assists for the Sabres a season ago and recently joined Peter Schwartz on Schwartz on Sports to discuss the upcoming Winter Classic:
