New York Knicks News Mix, 8/27/17: New Backcourt Works Out Together

New York Knicks future backcourt Frank Ntilikina and Tim Hardaway Jr. working out together is a good sign for fans and the front office.

Tim Hardaway Jr. and Frank Ntilikina working in unison is something New York Knicks fans hope to see for the next decade. The potential backcourt of the future looked good together while working out with trainer Chris Brickley.

Both players have been on Brickley’s popular Instagram page before but never together. The two youngsters developing a chemistry is critical to the future of the franchise. They invested a top ten pick in Ntlikina and $71 million in Hardaway.

The duo look like they’re going to work well together. They’re working on ball handling, running the fast break, and of course jump shots. This is the NBA in 2017 after all. You can’t win without a jump shot.

Ntilikina and Hardaway are just missing the biggest star of the three – Kristaps Porzingis. He’s a little busy right now as the EuroBasket tournament starts on August 31. He’ll compete for his native Latvia.

As the team moves on from Carmelo Anthony, president Steve Mills wants to rebuild with young players through the draft. Ntilikina and Hardaway are key to those efforts.

Elite Sports NY’s Chip Murphy tried to find a team who would take on Ryan Anderson’s contract. Somebody needs a shooter, right?
