Marc Berman of The New York Post reports that Jrue Holiday will meet with the Knicks if he decides to pass on the max deal from the Pelicans.

Jrue Holiday is set to become a free agent at 12:01 AM on July 1st. The New Orleans Pelicans would like to resign the former All-Star, but he is going to come at a hefty price.

If the Pelicans and Holiday can not agree to a deal, the Knicks will have a meeting lined up with Holiday, according to The New York Post‘s Marc Berman.

Holiday’s brother Justin, who played for the Knicks last season, is also a free agent. The Knicks will certainly want to bring Justin Holiday back as he gave them a reliable three-point shooter and defense last season.

It will take a hefty price, but the prospect of playing alongside his brother could lure Jrue away from the combination of Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins and bring him to the Eastern Conference with New York.

Free agency is certainly off to an exciting start.
