The New York Knicks have one of their first general manager interviews lined up with LeBron’s former general manager, David Griffin.

General manager David Griffin worked wonders in Cleveland.

Taking the general manager job in February of 2014, Griffin was instrumental in making Cleveland a winner for the first time in franchise history. In three full seasons as Cavs GM, Griffin reached the NBA Finals in each season and won it all in 2016. While many saw this as LeBron James carrying Cleveland people soon began to realize the terrific job Griffin did in surrounding James with talents such as Kevin Love and J.R. Smith.

Now a free agent, Griffin could possibly help another franchise desperately in need of direction in the New York Knicks.

The Knicks are clearly looking for general managers who have experience in the NBA. The Knicks have also been linked to current Raptors President and GM Masai Ujiri.
