The Knicks are considering trading Kristaps Porzingis. The Celtics are involved, but the price is extremely high.

The Celtics want Kristaps Porzingis. Well, 29 other teams in the NBA want him. The only guy who doesn’t is Phil Jackson.

Jackson is reportedly talking to the Celtics about a trade for his unicorn star.

Frank Isola of The New York Daily News reports that the Knicks asked Boston for one of Brooklyn’s picks, Jaylen Brown, and Jae Crowder.

Conversely, Ian Begley of ESPN New York reports that the Celtics offered the Knicks their No. 3 pick, and a player. The Knicks must want two guys because apparently, that wasn’t good enough.

Crowder is a Phil Jackson favorite and one of the best role players in the NBA. He shot 40 percent from three-point range and averaged 14 points per game.

Brown was the No. 3 overall pick in last season’s draft. Trading a guy just one year after he was drafted seems highly unlikely. Especially when he showed such great potential on defense.

Per Isola, Jaylen Brown is close with former Knicks president and head coach Isiah Thomas.

The Celtics have shown that they’re not willing to give up assets in the past. They prefer to hoard them instead.
