The New York Knicks scheduled a workout with championship-winning swingman Justin Jackson from North Carolina University.

Justin Jackson was one of the best players in college basketball during the 2016-17 season. He was named ACC POY, and his North Carolina Tar Heels won the National Championship.

Jackson, 22, left school with one year of eligibility remaining. Now he’s projected as a lottery pick. The New York Knicks have taken notice of the star wing player.

Per Marc Berman of The New York Post, Jackson is scheduled to work out for the team on June 13.

While point guard is the primary need for the Knicks come draft day, Phil Jackson also mentioned wing players while at the NBA Draft Combine.

Per Ian Begley of ESPN New York, the Knicks have discussed acquiring an additional first-round pick. While details have yet to emerge on a potential trade, it could be used to get Jackson.

Jackson is projected by DraftExpress as the No. 14 pick to the Miami Heat and the No. 13 prospect in their top 100.

The Tar Hell will be there when the Knicks pick at eight. If they decide to trade down (unlikely), it will likely be for Jackson.
