Kentucky’s electric point guard De’Aaron Fox tells the world how much he’d love to play for the New York Knicks alongside Kristaps Porzingis.
The guard position is one of the areas the New York Knicks need to fill. Furthermore, there are reports stating the Knicks have Fox on their list of players they are interested in drafting.
Fox, averaged 16.7 points per game, as well as 4.6 assists. He also chipped in securing rebounds adding 3.9 boards per game.
Fox is someone that could be a good fit for the Knicks. He has great athletic ability and is a strong perimeter defender. Defensive minded players are something that the Knicks are lacking.
Fox, however, does not have a great jump shot. The three-pointer is a big part of today’s NBA Game. Fox shot only 24.6 percent from behind the arc for the Wildcats.
The big question for him if the Knicks draft him would be. Could he play in the triangle offense?
According to Berman, Fox was asked about the triangle he responded with “I’ve seen it, I don’t know too much about the triangle. Everyone says it’s hard to learn. But if I have to go in there and have to play in it, I’ll learn quickly.”
The draft is still a good bit of way and the Knicks will certainly continue to evaluate players. The NBA Lottery is Tuesday night and depending on where the Knicks draft will obviously have an impact on the players the Knicks will look to target.
But Fox could be someone the Knicks bring in, and he does have the potential to be a star in the league.
