San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich left a huge tip while out in Memphis. Not surprisingly, it was at a wine bar.

We already knew that San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich loved wine. Now we can finally put a price tag to just how much he loves it.

Apparently, it’s $5,000.

Via Bleacher Report:

According to a Tuesday post by an NBA Reddit user, the 68-year-old San Antonio Spurs head coach left a $5,000 tip on an $815.73 bill at McEwen’s, a Memphis restaurant, the day before his team lost to the Grizzlies in Game 4 of the teams’ first-round playoff series.

The restaurant’s owner told Kelsey Bradshaw of The San-Antonio Express News that Pop has been there before, but wouldn’t confirm whether the champion coach had been there recently.

Popovich’s Spurs are currently playing a first-round playoff series against the Memphis Grizzlies. As the No. 2 seed, they are tied at two games against the No. 7 seed Grizzlies.

Popovich returns home to San Antonio for Game Five on Wednesday night at 9 p.m. ET.
