The NBA man of the year thus far, Charles Oakley, will be in the house when the New York Knicks take on the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays.
Charles Oakley has found ways to support or shade the New York Knicks from afar.
Despite the ugly incident at MSG, Oakley will be in attendance for the Knicks vs. Nets game at Barclays. He’ll be court side with Ice Cube, who signed Oakley as a player-coach for his three-on-three league. This marks the second time he’s been present for a Knicks away game since NBA commissioner Adam Silver mediated the situation with Knicks owner James Dolan.
Last month Oakley attended the Knicks vs Cavaliers game as a guest of Dan Gilbert.
Dolan rescinded Oakley’s ban from the Garden. But the former star seems to enjoy watching from afar, stating he has no plans of returning.
As Oakley enjoys the game on “Biggie Night,” (the night Brooklyn decides to remember the life of The Notorious B.I.G.) it remains to be seen who he’ll be rooting for.
