Kevin Durant was predictably booed by the Oklahoma City Thunder fans in his highly-anticipated return on Saturday night.
Kevin Durant left the Oklahoma City Thunder and their fans behind last summer when he joined the Golden State Warriors.
The deep ties he formed during his nine seasons with Oklahoma City and his rivalry with former teammate Russell Westbrook all led up to the most highly-anticipated homecoming since LeBron James returned to Cleveland with the Miami Heat to Cleveland in 2010. It hasn’t disappointed.
Durant was booed during pregame introductions, and the hate didn’t stop there.

They moved on to reference the infamous cupcake Instagram post from Russell Westbrook. Russ posted a picture of cupcakes on his social media account on July 4, (the day Durant announced he was going to Golden State) as a reference to slang for a soft player.
The fans decided to run with that. There are multiple people dressed up in cupcake costumes who was following Durant around.

If the costumes weren’t enough, the signs push it over the top.
