Deion Jones stripped Patriots’ running back LeGarrette Blount which led to the first touchdown of Super Bowl 51.
Step one in defeating Tom Brady: keep him off the field. Looks like rookie Deion Jones did his homework leading up to Super Bowl 51.
With 14:19 left in the second quarter, New England Patriots running back LeGarrette Blount took a handoff to the Falcons’ 29-yard line before losing the ball on a strip by Jones.

Cornerback Robert Alford picked it up, which led to the first scoring drive of the Super Bowl as Matt Ryan drove his high-flying offense 71 yards on five plays before Devonta Freeman scored on a five-yard touchdown run.
That’s a component that not many people discussed throughout the week. Yes, Atlanta’s defense is young and inexperienced, but the they have done a great job all year with creating turnovers.
