With the Cleveland Cavaliers in town to face the New York Knicks, LeBron James has addressed the seemingly never-ending Carmelo Anthony trade rumors.

New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony has been the focus of many trade rumors within the past few weeks, with LeBron James‘ Cleveland Cavaliers being a top landing spot that has been mentioned.

“I just want the best for my friend, no matter what it is,” James told reporters in Cleveland. “If [Anthony’s] there in New York or if not, I just want the best for him. I want him to be happy.”

“The game comes very easy to you when you’re happy where you are. If he’s happy in New York, maybe he wants to be elsewhere.” James added. “I’m not sure. He’s done a lot for that franchise. He did a lot for the Denver franchise as well. We’ll see what happens.”

With the Cavaliers struggling as of late and James demanding the team needs another playmaker, there is no doubt he would enjoy teaming up with his friend Carmelo Anthony.

The trade deadline is still a few weeks away, so there is still time for the Knicks to decide whether or not they are going to trade away their franchise player.
