On day four of Super Bowl week, Mike Francesa and Chris “Mad Dog” Russo reunite for a special edition of “Mike and the Mad Dog.”

Hit the intro, Malusis, Continent, etc.

As corny and as old-school as this classic radio jingle was, it still holds very real value in the hearts and minds of many New Yorkers.

Mike and the Mad Dog on WFAN was the best, bar none.

Since Chris Russo left the station nearly a decade ago for his own channel at the great Sirius/XM, Mike Francesa has held down the fort in the Big Apple, maintaining massive ratings numbers and destroying ESPN Radio New York’s The Michael Kay Show.

Every now and then, New York Sports fans are treated to spurts of reunions, and, today, on day four in Houston at the Super Bowl, such an event took place.

Francesa joined Russo during the 5 p.m. ET hour as the show was simulcast on both channels:
