LeBron James responded to Charles Barkley‘s comments by calling him a hater and won’t let him ‘disrespect his legacy’.

It’s a fact of life, the haters are always going to hate and there is nothing you can do about it. It might be best sometimes to take the high road and not let it bother you, however, LeBron James decided to do the opposite when responding to Charles Barkley‘s comments.

The story began last week when Barkley chose a very hostile approach to commenting on LeBron James’ attitude as of late.

“Inappropriate. Whiny. All of the above,” Barkley said regarding James’ recent actions. “The Cleveland Cavaliers, they have given him everything he wanted.”

Following a loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Monday, James responded to Barkley’s comments by firing back in a fashion that is not what we are used to seeing from the king.

“He’s a hater, What makes what he says credible? Because he’s on TV? I’m not going to let him disrespect my legacy like that.” James told ESPN. “I’m not the one who threw somebody through a window. I never spit on a kid. I never had unpaid debt in Las Vegas. I never said, ‘I’m not a role model.’ I never showed up to All-Star Weekend on Sunday because I was in Vegas all weekend partying.”

This is a very different LeBron James than we are used to, it seems like the hate could finally be getting to him. Only time will tell how this new attitude affects his performance on the court in a positive or a negative way.
