The New York Knicks got a big win Thursday against the short-handed Bulls behind the performances of Carmelo Anthony and Derrick Rose.

The New York Knicks needed a win on Thursday night against the Chicago Bulls. With Yankees closer Mariano Rivera watching from the stands, one of the greatest winners in the history of sports, and Jimmy Butler out with the flu it seemed like a sure thing. But so did Wednesday night in Philadelphia when they blew a 10-point lead in the final two minutes.
Even without Kristaps Porzingis (sore Achilles) the Knicks prevailed, 104-89, against the short-handed Bulls behind impressive performances from Carmelo Anthony and Derrick Rose.

Anthony scored 23 points on 10-19 from the field, grabbed 9 rebounds and led the team with 6 assists.
Rose led the offense with his attacks on the rim, scoring 17 points on 7-15 shooting.
Key Stat
The Bulls shot the ball below 40 percent from the field and made only 3 of their 18 attempts from beyond the arc. With Butler still on the mend, New York took full advantage.
Key Player
Mindaugas Kuzminskas had career-highs in minutes (30) and points (19) in his best game as a Knick. He shot the ball 8-15 and 2-4 from downtown off the bench.
