Chasson Randle has been with the New York Knicks‘ D-League affiliate the entire season. Now he could be on the move.
Chasson Randle was the star of the New York Knicks Summer League team before being passed over for Ron Baker.
Baker has solidified himself as the third-string point guard, so it’s not a surprise to hear that Randle is working out for another NBA team.
Marc Berman of The New York Post reported that Randle has a workout scheduled on Sunday with the Philadelphia 76ers.
Baker’s contract becomes guaranteed on Jan. 10, and it’s looking more and more likely that the Knicks will keep him around. He is right to explore his options as teams are now able to sign players to ten-day contracts.
In 19 games, the 23-year-old is averaging 32.0 minutes, 20.7 points, 3.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 1.1 steals on a slash line of .422/.402/.825.
The Knicks face the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday, Jan. 9, on the MSG Network at 7:30 p.m. ET.
