UFC fans have been waiting 13 months for the return of Ronda Rousey and she shocked the world when being knocked out in just 48 seconds. 

Amanda Nunes would make quick work of Ronda Rousey in the main event of Friday night’s pay-per-view, forcing the referee to call the match off after just 48 seconds.

While Rousey and her team were not laughing at what had happened, the social media world took matters into their own hands to make fun of the quick fight. Here are some of the best social media reactions to the shocking upset:

These are just a few of the best reactions on social media to Rousey’s crushing defeat. Bleacher Report owned the night with tweets that featured Vegas signs stating “Fight carefully Better luck next time” as well as a photo of WWE chairman Vince McMahon asking for his checkbook.

Another top tweet of the night came from a fan who was able to somehow connect Rousey’s loss to the Golden State Warriors blowing a 3-1 lead with some very specific math.

Even if the fight was a huge letdown to many, Twitter never seems to fail in making us all laugh at the expense of a potential career-shattering moment.
