New York Knicks: Courtney Lee (sore wrist) out vs. Atlanta Hawks

Chip Murphy

The New York Knicks announced that shooting guard Courtney Lee will sit out Wednesday’s game against the Atlanta Hawks.

The New York Knicks (16-14) will be without their starting shooting guard Wednesday night against the Atlanta Hawks (15-16).

Courtney Lee‘s (sore right wrist) absence was announced via the Official New York Knicks Public Relations Twitter page.

Lee’s three-point shooting would’ve been an asset tonight. The Hawks are 26th in opponent’s three-point percentage.

Stefan Bondy of The New York Daily News tweeted Sasha Vujacic will get his first start of the season in Lee’s place.

Vujacic has appeared in just 18 games and posted modest averages of 6.9 minutes, 1.7 points, 1.2 rebounds, and 0.8 assists per game on a horrid slash line of .344/.263/.750.

Don’t expect a lot of Sasha tonight.

Lee is averaging 30.7 minutes, 10.0 points, 2.9 rebounds, 1.8 rebounds, and 0.9 steals per game on a slash line of .452/.467/.846.

The Knicks are in Atlanta to take on Dwight Howard and the Hawks at 7:30 p.m. ET on MSG Network.
