Following yet another competitive and exciting season, the decision has been made regarding the 2016 College Football Playoff.

The playoff bracket for the 2016 College Football Playoff is now officially set and it should create some much-anticipated matchups starting on December 31.

1. Alabama (13-0)
2. Clemson (12-1)
3. Ohio State (11-1)
4. Washington (12-1)

This means that Alabama will be facing off with Washington in the semi-finals with Clemson taking on Ohio State and then the winner of those games facing off in the final to see who holds rights to the trophy.

This is the third consecutive year in which Alabama had made their way to the playoffs, coming fresh off a championship victory over Clemson in 2015.

Penn State did not find themselves in the playoffs despite a 10-2 record as well as winning nine straight games, but does have a spot in the Rose Bowl against USC.

Michigan was another Big 10 team that was left out in the dark.
