New York Knicks: Kristaps Porzingis Pours in 25 Points in First Half (Video)

New York KnicksKristaps Porzingis was unbelievable in the first half against the Detroit Pistons. He electrified MSG.

Kristaps Porzingis took the league by storm in his rookie season and the hype machine hasn’t slowed down as a sophomore as the highlights keep coming.

Against the Detroit Pistons Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden, KP dropped 25 points in the first half on 9-of-12 shooting with two 3-pointers lit up the crowd in the arena that he made his home a long time ago.

Even more impressive: Porzingis is doing this against a Pistons team that’s ranked third in points allowed per 100 possessions. They’re one of the best defenses in the league and the young big man is making them look like amateurs. It’s easy to see that after the video above is viewed. Point guard Brandon Jennings found KP perfectly for the never boring alley-oop play.

The Knicks are ahead by five points at halftime against a legitimate playoff team and Carmelo Anthony only has nine points. Porzingis has made that much of an impact.
