No question Tony Brothers is in a rotten mood, but Carmelo Anthony must be SMARTER than this. Just terrible. #Knicks pic.twitter.com/9MgN5JbCeV

Playing the Boston Celtics on the road, New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony was ejected during the 2nd-quarter by Tony Brothers.
As the leader and captain of the team, this just cannot happen.
During the 2nd-quarter of play up in Boston, New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony was ejected from the game by Tony Brothers after picking up his second technical foul within seconds after receiving his first.
As seen in the video above, Melo was called for a questionable loose ball foul following a Celtics miss at the charity stripe. He didn’t like the call and mouthed off to Brothers.
Brothers, who seemingly woke up on the wrong side of the bed today, didn’t think twice before throwing out the nine-time NBA All-Star. Courtney Lee tried to cover for his teammate to no prevail.
Listen, there’s no question Brothers was quick on the trigger and the first personal foul was a rough one. And there’s no doubt this game — that that Knicks are currently trailing by double-digits in, has been horribly officiated — but Melo has to be better and smarter than that.
Once the first technical comes, he needs to immediately shut up and play on. He’s gotta know when to just understand the official is in a terrible mood and go about his business.
What does barking at him do? That is, what positives can it possibly bring?
Come on, Melo. This can’t happen, especially on a night your team needs you. Anthony finished the game with 12 points on a hot 5-of-8 from the floor.
