Former New York Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez hinted at a possible return on Saturday while on the set of Fox Sports 1’s pregame show.
“Stay tuned,” were the words uttered by FOX Sports 1 baseball analyst and former New York Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez when asked by Pete Rose what it was like to lace up for the final time.
Oh boy… You mean this guy isn’t done?
Ever since the 41-year old retired just four home runs shy of 700, there have been countless rumors regarding his future.
While common sense says he won’t be returning, this little tease on MLB postseason’s one-hour studio show may prove what A-Rod’s plan has been all along: return to the show one more time.
While with New York in 2016, Rodriguez slashed .200/.247/.351 and hit just nine home runs in 65 games coming off a year in which he slugged 33. He was unconditionally released on August 13.
Pete Rose says Ortiz could be lacing up shoes 4 last time, then asks A-Rod: "How's that feel?" A-Rod: "Stay tuned." Ummm … he's not done.
