The Olympics are only a few weeks away and Sports Illustrated has featured seven prominent athletes on this week’s cover issue.
Kevin Durant, Michael Phelps, Alex Morgan, Allyson Felix, Katie Ledecky, Simone Biles, and Ashton Eaton are the seven team USA athletes to grace the cover of Sports Illustrated’s Olympics issue.
Rio de Janeiro is set to host the games in a few weeks, and it’s hard to argue with the seven who made the cover.
One smart move on the part of SI was to feature Durant in a team USA jersey rather than a Golden State Warriors uniform. It was also nice to see multiple athletes representing multiple sports. Imagine if Kyrie Irving had to take a photo next to Durant? An extremely awkward situation was avoided.
