The guy who seemingly can’t get behind the idea of a 3-point shot, Phil Jackson of the New York Knicks, has now gone silly with crazy ideas.

Has Phil Jackson lost his mind? I understand the man is getting up there in age, but this one defies logic.

The unabashed New York Knicks boss has never been one to quietly sit along the sidelines. He’s always provided a feel for how he believes the current state of the NBA is playing out.

Many of his words led us to believe he’s not a fan of the new-age 3-point shooting ways the Golden State Warriors have spearheaded.

Now, it seems he’s fully taking it in and going way past the point of no return.

According to Charley Rosen of Today’s Fastbreak, Jackson believes a 4-point line isn’t too far off from reality.

Why not have a four-point line about 35 feet out? It wouldn’t be long before players will get reasonably comfortable shooting from out there. And having a four-point line would certainly serve to enable teams to catch up in what are now blowout games.

He also advocates for an additional six seconds to the 24-second shot clock.

Phil may have just went off the deep end folks.
