Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan recently made more ridiculous comments proving that he will never ever figure it out in the NFL.
There he goes again.
By “he” we mean Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan and by “goes” we mean his unabashed, ridiculously unwarranted praise of his players.
According to Tyler Dunne of the Buffalo News, Ryan feels so confident that he feels his team “won the offseason” and that he’d “challenge any team.”
“I don’t know about these other teams. I’m sure they’ve had some great camps, too. But I’ve been really impressed with this group,” Ryan said.
Dunne, being the incredible journalist he is, pointed out that first-round pick Shaq Lawson required shoulder surgery and stud wide-out Sammy Watkins broke his foot during the offseason, so making such a statement seems like a stretch.
But there goes that man anyway. Watch Rex run (his mouth).
While here with the New York Jets, Rex did a solid job with the incredible personnel that was built by Eric Mangini and Mike Tannenbaum. The moment Ryan started to put his imprints on the personnel, things started tumbling downhill.
Pumping up your team from time to time is one thing. What Rex does is completely look to mask the entire situation with words, further providing false security to his players.
As we here in (the real) New York are well aware, it’s only a matter of time before Ryan is ousted from Buffalo. His act can only live on for so long before it wears incredibly thin.
